Kamala Harris calls herself and Tim Walz underdogs in the 2024 race

Vice President Kamala Harris described her campaign as the “underdog” in the race against former President Donald Trump, despite leading him by 3 points in a CBS News/YouGov poll. The poll shows Harris at 51 percent nationally, with Trump at 48 percent. On a bus tour in Pennsylvania, Harris stressed the importance of earning voter support, ahead of formally accepting the Democratic nomination at the Democratic National Convention this week.
