Six people are dead, including the suspected gunman, after a shooting in northern Michigan on Friday.
Michigan State Police Lt. Ashley Miller told WWJ that 911 dispatchers received a report about a shooting around 11:40 a.m. near Lake City, which is about three hours from Detroit.
Once police officers arrived, they found three people’s bodies, as well as a fourth person who was critically injured, WWJ reported. Miller said the wounded person was taken to the hospital.
While state police looked for the suspect, identified as Chad Hickman, 39, they found another person’s body. They later found Hickman’s vehicle near a wooded area, according to WWJ. Hickman’s body was found, as well as another dead victim’s, in the woods with the help of a K-9 team.
State police have not released the names or ages of the victims. There is no public threat, police said.
