Looked through mu videos from last night… found the moment Brandy left the stage. Concerts are my favorite place & this is a first. Would have loved to see the end of the show I’ve waited for since elementary school. Much love to Brandy & Monica. #theboyisminetour #theboyismine #brandy #monica #unitedcenter

Singer says she experienced dehydration

On Sunday, Brandy addressed the incident in a statement on social media.

“After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint,” she wrote. “Everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance.”

Brandy added that she visited a doctor near the arena and took the proper precautions for her health.

The tour marks major reunion with Monica

The incident comes shortly after Brandy and Monica launched The Boy Is Mine tour, which was announced to overwhelming excitement from fans.

The reunion is significant given the singers’ well-documented tension following their 1998 mega-duet “The Boy Is Mine.” At the time, their success was overshadowed by media speculation about an alleged feud that lingered for years.

Despite the health scare, Brandy said that she looks forward to returning to the stage with Monica. She rejoined the tour Sunday night for their performance in Indianapolis.

The pair’s next show is scheduled for Friday in Nashville.
