For the fourth time this month, Donald Trump campaigned in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania over the weekend of Sept. 28. This time, he was in Erie in the northwest part of the state.
According to Reuters, Trump hammered what he believes to be a big issue in Pennsylvania, immigration. More specifically, immigrants who commit crimes. He named child predators, drug dealers and gang members. He suggested that police should get tough on them and send a stern message.
Kamala Harris was in Pittsburgh during the week of Sept. 22, touting her economic plan, which includes tax breaks for people who start small businesses and financial help for first-time homebuyers.

Pennsylvania is a key swing state in this election with 19 electoral votes. Trump has stated if he wins Pennsylvania, he will win the election.
Back in 2016, when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, Democrats outnumbered Republicans by a 48.3 % to 37.8%. However, that gap is closing. Today, 44% of Pennsylvania voters identify as Democrats, versus 40.2% Republican. Joe Biden won the state in 2020 by about 80,000 votes, which is considered a slim margin.
Polls indicate Trump and Harris are neck and neck, with the Real Clear Politics average showing Trump leading by less than one percentage point.
