New Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk’s first interview since her husband, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated will air Wednesday night on “Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime.” The conservative news outlet has released excerpts before the airing of the interview.
Erika Kirk said she doesn’t live in fear
“It’s fearlessness that’s rooted in the understanding that I will have my day and time, whenever that is, when the Lord knows that I have completed my mission, and I’m not afraid,” she told Watters when asked about any fears she has for her safety in the wake of her husband’s killing.
“Charlie wasn’t afraid, either,” Kirk continued. “We never lived in fear. If we did, we wouldn’t get anything done.”

Discussions with daughter about the late Charlie Kirk
She revealed what life has been like with her young daughter, including the questions her daughter has asked after her father’s killing on Sept. 10.
“My daughter continues to ask [where Charlie is]… and I said, ‘If ever you want to talk to daddy, you just look up to the sky and start talking. He can hear you,” Kirk told Watters.
“I said, ‘Daddy is in heaven.’ She goes, ‘Do you think I could go sometime? I said ‘Baby, we will all go one day. We will all go one day,” she told the Fox News host.
Does she want an apology from Jimmy Kimmel?
Erika Kirk and Watters also discussed the upcoming trial for her husband’s accused killer, Tyler Robinson, and whether she expects an apology from late-night host Jimmy Kimmel over his comments about her husband, including his joke about President Donald Trump’s reaction to the assassination.
Kimmel was temporarily suspended following remarks in his opening monologue, but has since returned to air.
“[Sinclair Broadcasting] asked, ‘Do you want Jimmy to give an apology? Do you want to be on the show? How can we make this right?,” Kirk said.
“Through our team, I responded, ‘Tell them thank you, we received their note. This is not our issue, not our mess… If you want to say I’m sorry to someone who’s grieving, go right ahead. But if that’s not in your heart, don’t do it. I don’t want it. I don’t need it,” she told Watters.
Erika Kirk requests cameras in the courtroom
Kirk also asked that the judge keep cameras in the courtroom for Robinson’s trial.
She said her husband’s death was filmed, and cameras have been a daily part of her life as media coverage has focused on her and her family, so she sees no reason the public shouldn’t see what happens in the courtroom.
“We deserve to have cameras in there. Why not be transparent?” Kirk said. “There’s nothing to hide. I know there’s not because I’ve seen what the case is built on. Let everyone see what true evil is. This is something that could impact a generation and generations to come.”
The full interview will air on Fox News Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
