Media Miss by the left: Houston cops try to recruit NYPD officers after Mamdani’s mayoral victory

The Houston Police Department is directly appealing to New York City police officers who may be disillusioned after Tuesday’s mayoral election.

In a post on Facebook, the Houston Police Officers’ Union wrote: “NYPD, ARE YOU DISGUSTED WITH THE ELECTION OF ZOHRAN MAMDANI? JOIN US! THE HOUSTON POLICE DEPARTMENT IS HIRING POLICE OFFICERS!”

The message comes after Mamdani, a progressive Democrat and outspoken police critic, faced renewed attention for past comments in which he called the NYPD “racist,” “wicked” and “corrupt.” He has since apologized for those remarks.

Media Miss by the right: Trump MRI remains a mystery after Leavitt unable to provide clarity

President Donald Trump recently revealed that he underwent an MRI, the results of which he said were “perfect.” However, neither the White House nor his doctors have explained why the scan was conducted. When asked about it on Tuesday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters she would have to get back to them with an answer.

Doctors have said that Trump remains in excellent health, but at 79 years old, he is the oldest person ever elected to the White House, which has fueled renewed public interest in his medical transparency.
