Media Miss by the left: Mamdani says partnership with Trump critical to New York City’s success
New York City’s new Democratic Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has hit the ground running with his administration, already making several key appointments. And this week, he said he plans to call President Trump before taking office — with one goal in mind.
“Well, I’ll say that I’m here to work for the benefit of everyone that calls this city home, and that wherever there is a possibility for working together towards that end, I’m ready,” Mamdani told NBC New York on Tuesday. “And if it’s at the expense of those New Yorkers, I will fight it.”
Trump had previously threatened to withhold federal funding from New York City if Mamdani won the election. He even threatened to have Mamdani arrested.
Media Miss by the right: FHFA chief accused of probing Democrats’ mortgage records
The Wall Street Journal reports that Fannie Mae officials were fired after opening an internal investigation into whether Trump-appointed FHFA Director Bill Pulte used his position to improperly access Democrats’ mortgage records.
Among the records he allegedly accessed are those of New York Attorney General Letitia James, who is also facing federal mortgage fraud charges. James has pleaded not guilty.
