A manhunt is underway in Arkansas after state police say he killed a couple out hiking on Saturday, July 26. Police added that the couple was with their two daughters, who were not physically harmed in the attack. 

The Arkansas State Police said Clinton David Brink, 43, and his wife, Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were killed at about 2:40 p.m. Saturday while hiking with their children, ages 7 and 9, in Devil’s Den State Park, about 175 miles northwest of Little Rock. However, authorities did not disclose details about how the couple died.

The police are searching for a man they described as white and of medium build who was driving a black, four-door sedan. 

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic events that occurred at Devil’s Den State Park,” Shea Lewis, secretary of the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism, said in a statement. “Our hearts are with the victims’ loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”

Couple new to Arkansas

State police said the couple recently moved to Prairie Grove, Arkansas, from another state. They said the husband and wife were found on a walking trail in the park. 

According to ABC News, the victims’ families urged anyone with information about the double homicide to contact police immediately. 

“Clinton and Cristen died Hero’s protecting their little girls, and they deserve justice,” the families said. “They will forever live on in all of our hearts.”
