A late-night Russian strike on a warehouse near Kyiv left 37 people dead. Thirty-four of them were residents of an elderly care center. Ukrainian authorities say two are still missing.
The warehouse may have been storing munitions illegally near a residential area. Ukraine’s Defense Ministry posted the allegations on X Saturday morning.

“Siting depots holding explosives next to civilians is unacceptable,” the post said, before focusing on Russian drones. “Russia will answer for every crime it commits against Ukrainians on our land.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, “Those who allowed this to happen must be held accountable for their decisions.”
Zelenskyy said Kyiv is under nonstop attacks from drones. He reported more than 260 drones, as well as Banderol drones, were used in the overnight assault.
Friday night’s attack is the deadliest single attack this year. The Associated Press reported the second deadliest attack was on Kyiv, July 2, where 30 people died.
