The famous couple first began dating in the summer of 2023. Swift confirmed the relationship by the time she attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game in September 2023. Kelce has played as a tight end for the team since 2013.
While both Swift and Kelce have had high-profile relationships in the past, neither has been publicly engaged before.
Kelce had first expressed interest in Swift after he failed to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it in July 2023. Swift later reached out to him, and they started privately dating.
Since they started dating, Swift has regularly attended Chiefs games, with cameras capturing her cheering the team on.
On Tuesday, the NFL’s official social media account shared a clip of Kelce and Swift after the Chiefs’ victory in Super Bowl 58. Swift tells Kelce, “I’m in shock, I can’t believe this is really happening,” as confetti fell onto them.
The couple recently broke a Guinness World Record, 1.3 million live viewers on YouTube, when Swift appeared on Travis and Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast to announce her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which is set to be released on Oct. 3. The podcast episode has been viewed more than 20 million times since it’s was released on August 13.
Kelce announced he would play his 13th season with the Chiefs this year. This would be his final year under contract with the team.
The couple did not say when they planned to get married.
