The life-sized bronze figures were accompanied by a plaque reading, “In honor of Friendship Month, we celebrate the long‑standing bond between President Donald J. Trump and his closest friend Jeffrey Epstein.”
While an anonymous collective known as “The Secret Handshake” had obtained a permit for the statue to stay through Sunday, Sept. 18, U.S. Park Police removed the sculpture early Wednesday. They said it failed to comply with permit specifications, including size limits.

Media Miss by the left: Michigan congressional candidate responds to backlash over Kirk assassination remarks
A Democratic candidate for Michigan’s 13th district is standing by controversial comments she made about slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
In a video, which was recorded by others on social media before apparently being deleted from Shelby Campbell’s TikTok, Campbell said, “Hey, MAGA. How bad does it hurt that Jimmy Kimmel’s back, but you guys can’t get your person back?”
When asked via a post on X if that was her, Campbell confirmed it was, calling it “dark humor.”
In that same video, Campbell also reportedly said, “I don’t think anyone deserves to be murdered,” but suggested that extreme rhetoric can carry real-world consequences.
Critics are accusing her of recklessly invoking violence, while Campbell’s supporters argue that her comments were taken out of context.
