Wealthy voters favor Harris over Trump: Poll

Full story

A new survey revealed a majority of millionaires are supporting Kamala Harris over Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election. According to the poll by global financial firm UBS, 57% of investors with at least $1 million of investable assets plan to vote for Harris and 43% plan to vote for Trump.

Trump edged out Harris when voters were asked, “Who is better equipped to address the economy?” Of the respondents, 51% said Trump and 49% said Harris.

Trump proposed extending the 2017 tax cuts entirely. Harris wanted those cuts to apply only to people making less than $400,000.

The poll also found more than three-quarters of wealthy investors planned to make changes to their stocks based on the election results.

If Trump wins, they said defense and energy stocks will be best. If Harris wins, they said health care, sustainable investing and tech names look best.
