X, Amazon Web Services back online following Cloudflare system issues

Full story

Many online platforms, including X and Amazon Web Services, experienced operational errors Tuesday morning after Cloudflare announced a global network issue. DownDetector.com reported outages on X, OpenAI, Spotify and some online games.

Cloudflare provided updates on the outage on its website. It began an investigation into the issue around 7 a.m. EST.

Since then, Cloudflare reported that some services are recovering, but customers might still “observe higher-than-normal error rates.”

In an 8 a.m. EST update, Cloudflare announced that the problem had been identified and that its team was actively working on a fix.

Shortly before noon eastern, Cloudflare announced all systems were back up and running.
