Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, alongside 13 other Democratic governors, urged Education Secretary Linda McMahon to release $6.8 billion in withheld education grants, as it could harm students’ programs and support. Ten Republican senators wrote to Russell Vought demanding the release of $7 billion in school funding that the Trump administration froze, stating it harms students, families and local economies.
