79 percent of Democrats approve of Harris replacing Biden if he steps aside: Poll

A poll from The Economist/YouGov found that the majority of Democrats — 79% — would support Vice President Kamala Harris if current President Joe Biden were to step away from the presidential race. The poll also shows that, while Harris may have low approval rating, the majority of the left would still be behind her.

This comes as many Democrats, including lawmakers, call for President Biden to pull out of the running and allow someone else to take his place on the ballot in the 2024 election.
