Several protesters interrupted former Vice President Kamala Harris’ book tour in Chicago on Oct. 11, according to reports from NBC’s Chicago team. Several people spoke out during Harris’ appearance, and at least one was escorted out by security.
Reports say it’s not clear what the protest was about, but that at least one person was saying something about genocide. Other members of the audience shouted back, chanting “get her out,” referring to one of the protesters.

Several of Harris’ previous visits in other cities during the book tour have also been interrupted by anti-genocide or pro-Palestinian demonstrations.
Harris is touring to promote her new book, “107 Days,” which recounts the brief period Harris had between former President Biden’s announcement that he would not seek reelection and the U.S. presidential election in November 2024.
The former vice president replied that any criticism or concern regarding the Israel-Hamas war should be redirected towards the current Trump administration.
Trump himself, meanwhile, recently arrived in Tel Aviv, Israel, for what observers hope may be a breakthrough in the conflict’s ongoing negotiations.
