Arkansas secretary of state approves casino ballot measure, marijuana proposal gets more time to gather signatures

The Arkansas secretary of state has officially verified over 116,200 valid signatures need for a casino measure. This surpasses the necessary 90,704 signatures that are needed to qualify for the November ballot.

Another amendment that is trying to expand medical marijuana has been given more time to collect signatures. The new deadline is now Aug. 30 to reach the necessary amount,

So farm over 108,000 signatures were submitted for the medical marijuana initiative. However, only 77,000 were found to be valid, which falls short of the needed counts.
