Biden holds first Cabinet meeting in nearly a year, first lady joins for first time

President Joe Biden held his first cabinet meeting in nearly a year on Friday, Sept. 20. First Lady Jill Biden also participated in the meeting for the first time since Joe Biden took office in January 2021.
The president immediately introduced the first lady at the start of the meeting, and she initially led the discussion. Jill Biden discussed a White House initiative on women’s health research during the meeting.The president also spoke, emphasizing the importance of Congress passing a continuing resolution to fund the government.
