Some Democratic delegates are hoping to vote for a different candidate instead of nominating President Joe Biden for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination. Democratic delegates will gather in Chicago from August 19-22, 2024 to officially nominate a presidential candidate for November’s election. Despite concerns about Biden’s mental acuity, some delegates believe he is still the best candidate due to his past performance and defeating Donald Trump. Delegate Katybeth Davis from Michigan stated she would vote for Biden at the convention “if Biden is our candidate.”
