Billionaire James Dyson criticized the new United Kingdom Labour government’s tax policies as “spiteful,” stating they will harm small businesses. Dyson claimed that the proposed changes to inheritance tax will “kill off established family businesses, and any incentive to start new ones.”
He asserted that “no business can survive Reeves’s 20% tax grab,” urging recognition of the importance of private enterprise. U.K. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said the budget was very “positive,” saying that “the opposite is true” referring to Dyson’s criticism.
