Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has publicly supported the Boston Urban Forum and its founder, Gary Yu, who has ties to the CCP, according to multiple sources.
Investigative journalist Ina Mitchell stated that these forums allow CCP members to influence U.S. lawmakers and promote pro-Beijing narratives. Scott McGregor indicated that these events are tactics used by the CCP to gain trust and influence in the U.S., according to the DCNF.
