Pro-Palestinian groups have received approval to protest near the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, however, pro-Israel groups are uncertain if they are allowed to.

A pro-Israel group said its requests for a permit to march near the Democratic National Convention are being ignored by the city of Chicago.

Aya Schechter from the Israeli American Council expressed disappointment. Schechter said there is “no equitable access” to protest compared to the opportunities pro-Palestinian groups have gotten approved.

The DNC will begin on Aug. 19 and conclude on Aug. 22.
