Congressional Republicans are proposing a $150 billion defense package that includes $27 billion for President Donald Trump’s Golden Dome missile defense system. This funding aims to enhance military capabilities, including missile interceptors and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense systems.
The measure includes $29 billion for 14 new ships and investments in unmanned vessels, autonomous systems and munitions production.
The package aims to strengthen the U.S. military presence in the Indo-Pacific region to “prevent war” with China.
