The protest featured participants with slogans like “No human being is illegal” painted on their bodies, along with handmade signs and banners.
The demonstration occurred during a period of increased tension between protesters and law enforcement. Despite heightened tension, the demonstration was mostly peaceful, according to activists.
Meanwhile, some criticized the use of nudity in a public setting, while others viewed it as a powerful, nonviolent statement against immigration enforcement practices and federal intervention in local affairs.
