Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, R, has announced the state of Florida will allocate $8 million to go towards Miami-Dade County. The goal is to create infrastructure improvements around the area set for the future Inter Miami stadium.

DeSantis has previously been against stadium funding, however, said this funding will hopefully support local businesses near the future stadium in Florida.

Gov. DeSantis said the government’s job is to create and help grow a supportive environment, stating “Infrastructure is a big part of that.”
