The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported assaults against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers increased by 1,300%. It also said vehicular attacks rose 3,200% and death threats surged 8,000%. The agency did not provide a time window for that increase.
DHS said suspects allegedly weaponized vehicles — ramming or accelerating toward U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers — in Minneapolis, Portland and Los Angeles enforcement operations.
