The Department of Justice has removed a study that found far-right extremists were responsible for more “ideologically motivated” homicides compared to far-left or Islamist extremists. The move comes just days after the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, and on the heels of comments from President Donald Trump, saying the left has caused harm to the nation.

“The radical left has done tremendous damage to the country,” Trump said Tuesday. Graduate student Daniel Malmer first pointed out the removal.

According to the study, “Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives.”
