The Metro Nashville Police Department SWAT team arrested Leonel Vargas Jr., a suspected MS-13 member. The department currently holds him on outstanding warrants, including felony charges.

The U.S. Department of Justice has taken action against MS-13, an international criminal organization involved in numerous violent crimes across at least 10 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.

The DOJ has also offered a $5 million reward for a high-ranking MS-13 member charged with coordinating violent acts and trafficking.
