Trump stated that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is interested in peace negotiations, claiming they spoke the previous day.
The president blamed former President Joe Biden for the war, stating it should have been resolved years ago. He went on to describe the devastation in Ukraine, stating affected cities resemble “a world-class demolition site.”
The exchange escalated when Collins asked Trump if he trusted Putin, resulting in Trump shutting her down and moving to another reporter.
