Eagle Pass declares emergency as migrants pour across from Mexico

The city of Eagle Pass, Texas, issued an emergency declaration as thousands of migrants crossed the Rio Grande from Piedras Negras, Mexico, on Wednesday. The declaration is set to last seven days unless renewed by the Eagle Pass City Council. The emergency order activates the city's Texas Emergency Plan and authorizes it to seek aid and assistance.
