Sir Alex Younger, former head of MI6, stated that Vladimir Putin manipulated President Donald Trump, leading him to believe they had a friendly relationship, which has since failed. Younger indicated that Trump’s stance on the war in Ukraine has toughened, blaming the Kremlin for the conflict.

Trump has confirmed new military aid shipments to Ukraine, including Patriot air defense systems, after discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Younger believes Putin has overstepped by attempting to sway Western leaders, as Trump’s changing remarks suggest a tougher U.S. stance.
