Lawyers confirmed that the family of a 2-year-old U.S. citizen has dropped their lawsuit against the Trump administration regarding her deportation to Honduras with her mother. According to lawyer Gracie Willis, the family is taking time to discuss options regarding their safety and well-being.

The Department of Homeland Security stated that the mother chose to take her child to Honduras during her deportation. A federal judge raised concerns about the deportation process of the child, noting a “strong suspicion” of inadequate procedures before the case was dismissed.
