On the night of Jan. 5, 2021, just hours before the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol following former President Biden’s victory over Donald Trump, an unidentified individual planted pipe bombs outside both Democratic and Republican national headquarters. The FBI offered a $500,000 award for information leading to the person’s identification or arrest, but the case has stalled since then.

Now, the FBI has released newer, higher-quality video footage of the individual, and is again asking the public for help. The agency is also renewing the $500,000 award for any information leading to the positive identification of a suspect.
