Florida Democratic Party official arrested on child porn charges

A Florida Democratic Party official, Matthew Inman, was arrested for sending child pornography to an undercover officer and attempting to delete the material while hiding in his attic, according to authorities. Inman, 39, possessed videos of children being sexually abused and expressed interest in meeting a fictional 9-year-old boy, as reported by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Middle District of Florida.

The Orange County Democratic Party and Rainbow Democrats expressed shock and condemnation over Inman’s actions, stating they are appalled by the news and hope for justice for victims.

If convicted, Inman faces a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
