Jack Lew criticized Zohran Mamdani’s policies, claiming they are not good for New York City, during an interview on “The Master Investor Podcast With Wilfred Frost.” Lew was a former top economic official under former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

Mamdani became the Democrats’ mayoral candidate after ranked choice voting revealed results, addressing accusations from Republicans and moderate Democrats about his leftist views.

President Donald Trump stated that he would monitor Mamdani, saying, “We’ll have to arrest him” if he resists Immigration and Customs Enforcement in New York.

Mamdani defended his tax proposals targeting wealthier neighborhoods, arguing it is “not about skin color” but about taxing areas fairly.
