Oklahoma officials indicted Robert Morris, founder of Gateway Church, on five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child. Cindy Clemishire accused Morris of molesting her starting in 1982, which led to his indictment.

Gateway Church confirmed the allegations and stated they are grateful for the justice system’s work in holding abusers accountable.

Clemishire expressed hope for justice after 43 years. She said the law has finally caught up with Morris for his actions against her.

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond emphasized that there is “no tolerance for those who sexually prey on children” and condemned the abuses due to the perpetrator’s position as a pastor.
