Top Republican campaign committees have outperformed Democratic counterparts in fundraising for 2025, according to new Federal Election Commission filings. The Republican National Committee raised $96,419,883 and holds $80,782,884 cash on hand. The Democratic National Committee raised $69,224,921 and has $15,220,609 cash on hand.

Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin stated the committee raised $50 million since January, a record compared to previous party chairs. Despite this, the Republican Party appears to be raising more. The Democratic National Committee raised $8.6 million in June, while the Republican National Committee raised $16.2 million.

Both parties are preparing for midterm elections, with Democrats aiming to leverage grassroots energy to regain power in Washington. Polls indicate Democrats are still 2.5 percentage points ahead of Republicans in a generic 2026 congressional ballot.
