‘Huge surge’ in U.S. abortion pill demand after Trump’s election win

Following Donald Trump’s presidential win, women are seeking abortion medication and reproductive care in record numbers, fearing restricted access. Aid Access reported 10,000 requests in 24 hours, a 17-fold increase, while Plan C’s website saw 82,200 visitors, up from 4,000-4,500 daily. Demand for emergency contraceptives and long-lasting birth control, like IUDs and vasectomies, has also surged.
