An Ecuadorian man, wanted on a child rape charge in Ecuador, was arrested by U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Northampton, Massachusetts. ICE confirmed the arrest in a press release and stated the man posed a significant threat to children in the community. The man was found near his home in Northampton on June 12, according reported by ICE. The person was initially arrested in 2021 for crossing the border illegally in Arizona, but was released from custody ahead of his trial.
