The incident was followed by reports of some individuals on the political left expressing approval of the shooting, a reaction Rogan characterized as indicative of a troubling decline in public discourse and moral standards. He also noted that public expressions of support for political violence appeared to come from people in positions that typically command respect.
In the aftermath of Kirk’s death, several arrests were said to have occurred at campus events associated with Turning Point USA, pointing to continuing tensions and unrest surrounding the situation.
