The National Education Association (NEA) passed multiple resolutions opposing actions by President Donald Trump during its annual convention in July 2025, in Portland, Oregon. The resolutions express support for students’ rights to dissent against Trump administration policies and characterize some actions as fascist in educational materials.

The NEA will also no longer endorse materials from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), reacting to tensions over educational content and curriculum in the wake of the Israel-Hamas war.
