Meghan McCain called for the White House to strip Kaitlan Collins’ press credentials following an exchange between Collins and press secretary Karoline Leavitt. During the exchange, Collins questioned Leavitt about the president’s views on Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

On Wednesday, July 23, Gabbard and Leavitt held a press conference announcing the release of documents that alleged the Obama administration tried to undermine President Donald Trump before he took office in 2017.

Collins asked Leavitt if Gabbard was releasing the documents to “improve her standing” with the president. McCain criticized her questioning and said the administration should pull her press credentials.

“Kaitlan Collins is an absolute imbecile and a pure partisan hack,” McCain wrote on X. “Have some respect for the two women standing in front of you who are exposing lies, deep corruption and keeping the country safe. The White House should pull her credentials.”
