Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has addressed recent claims suggesting President Donald Trump secretly approved military operations against drug cartels in Mexico. Responding to the New York Times report, Sheinbaum reaffirmed her government’s firm stance against any foreign military presence on Mexican soil.

She clarified that while Mexico is open to collaboration and intelligence sharing with the United States, allowing U.S. troops to operate in the country is not an option. “There is no agreement that includes this, and whenever it has been suggested, our answer has been no,” she stated.

According to reports, Mexican authorities have consistently rejected the idea of U.S. military involvement, both in official communications and private discussions over the past several months.
