A Minnesota prosecutor asked the public for footage after Renee Good was fatally shot. The request was made because the FBI and the U.S. Justice Department will not coordinate with Minnesota investigators, Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said.

Moriarty spoke at a news conference Friday, saying her office would post a link for the public to submit photos and videos of the shooting. However, she said she was not sure if the submissions would influence a legal outcome.

Moriarty said the officer who shot Good does not have legal immunity and could still be charged under Minnesota law.

“We do have jurisdiction to make this decision with what happened in this case,” Moriarty said. “It does not matter that it was a federal law enforcement agent.”
