Two hundred companies in the UK have adopted a four-day working week with no loss of pay for staff, as reported by the 4 Day Week Foundation. Approximately 6% of full-time workers in the UK are already working four-day weeks, suggesting up to 1.5 million employees could benefit from this approach.
A survey by Spark Market Research found that 78% of 18 to 34-year-olds believe a four-day working week will become the norm within five years. Joe Ryle, campaign director of the 4 Day Week Foundation, stated that a four-day week gives people the freedom to live happier, more fulfilling lives.
