A political action committee (PAC) that is backed by billionaire Elon Musk is now under investigation for potentially violating state laws in Michigan. This is according to a spokesperson for the Michigan Secretary of State’s office.
The department is now reviewing the PAC’s activities to find out if there have been any violations. They may refer any issues to the Michigan Attorney General’s office, depending on what the investigation finds.
A spokesperson said that “every citizen should know exactly how their personal information is being used by PACs.”
