Elon Musk stated he will donate to Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., as he criticized Congress members who increased government spending. Musk criticized members of Congress who voted for a significant debt increase through President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” despite campaigning to reduce spending.

After Massie voted against the bill, Trump attacked the Kentucky Republican on Truth Social, calling him a “pathetic LOSER” and threatening a primary challenge against him.

In response to Trump’s comments, Massie reported a surge in donations following the attacks on his character, emphasizing his fiscal conservative stance.
