Concerns about Biden’s age and mental capabilities grew after his poor debate performance, prompting calls from prominent Democrats for him to withdraw from the race, which he ultimately did on July 21. The book presents a perspective on Biden’s presidency that critics claim reflects a lack of honesty regarding his health and capabilities, as well as exposing what the authors describe as a “campaign of denial and gaslighting” that contributed to the Democratic defeat.
