A new poll released on Thursday, July 24, reported President Donald Trump’s approval rating fell to 37%. The drop marks the lowest approval rating of his second term so far.
Independent voters’ approval declined to 29% since June, according to Gallup. This marks a drop from 46% six months after Trump took office, with the lowest ratings on the budget, Ukraine and trade.
Gallup reported that independent approval ratings reached 19% for the federal budget and 24% for Ukraine. Meanwhile, Republican approval remained at 89%, while Democratic approval was at just 2% in July.
Amid a decline in ratings, Republican supporters criticized the administration for not releasing the Epstein investigation files. Additionally, three Republicans from the Oversight Committee joined Democrats in issuing subpoenas for records from the Department of Justice.
The committee also subpoenaed Ghislaine Maxwell for a deposition and requested testimony from former President Bill Clinton and former FBI directors James Comey and Robert Mueller.
