New Jersey is stockpiling a six-month supply of mifepristone to ensure future abortion access amid Republican threats, as stated by Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration. The stockpiling effort is part of a $50 million investment in reproductive health care services in New Jersey’s 2025 budget.
Gov. Murphy also plans to push for eliminating out-of-pocket costs for abortion care during his State of the State speech.
Murphy stated that his administration is committed to making New Jersey a safe haven for reproductive health care amid anti-choice policies.
